Congratulations to the 2004 recipients of the ASM Student Chapter Grants!

Created to encourage and support ASM Student Chapters in their educational outreach activities, ASM Student Chapter Grants fund activities that support the ASM Foundation's mission "to excite young people worldwide in materials science and engineering careers".

Grants of $800 each are awarded to:

  • Northwestern University - "Haven and Northwestern Discover Science" (HANDS) (view proposal)
  • University of Tennessee (Knoxville) - "Demonstrations for the 2004 Engineer's Day" (view proposal)
  • Drexel University - "Discovering Materials Science and Engineering" (view proposal)
  • University of Texas (Arlington) - "One Day Materials Camp" (view proposal) (view project report)
  • Washington State University - "Materials Science Display at Palouse Discovery Science Center" (view proposal)

The ASM Materials Education Foundation thanks the members of the ASM Student Chapter Grants Review Committee:
