ASM Micrograph Center Online is a comprehensive and continuously expanding collection of micrograph images and associated data. The focus of the collection is on micrographs for industrially important alloys. Information captured for each image includes material designation and composition, processing history, service history, metallographic preparation/technique, magnification, significance of the structures shown, selected materials properties data, and other relevant details.
Handbooks
ASM Handbook, Volume 9, Metallography and Microstructures is the leading single-volume reference work on metallography and interpretation of microstructures. Several other volumes in the ASM Handbook series provide significant information of interest to metallographers, including Volume 3, Alloy Phase Diagrams, Volume 10, Materials Characterization, and Volume 11, Failure Analysis and Prevention.
