IMPORTANT TOOLS
Important tools and information highlight the start of the new year!
Chapter Forum – In response to the desire of chapter members to have a location to discuss, on a global level, any ideas, issues or thoughts that come up, Chapter Council has developed the Chapter Forum for an open discussion among members. Following the same format as the popular topical discussion groups under the “ASK ASM” page of the website, the Chapter Forum is a great place to share best practices, talk about your successes and challenges and continue the number one reason for chapter activity... NETWORKING! Give it a try! Visit: http://www.asminternational.org/Template.cfm?section=AskASM

Chapter Logos – As the society reinforces the connection of ASM to the field of Material Science and Engineering, the promotion of a united image becomes all the more important. Introduced at Leadership Days 2004, and covered in detail in the NEXUS – SPECIAL EDITION – LEADERSHIP DAYS 2005, to be released in 2 weeks, all chapters have access to new and consistent "Chapter specific" logos for their use. These logos are available to be downloaded from the website, after site login, under Officers Tools/Chapter Documents Archive.
Chapter Members’ Function Reports – This is a combination of two reports generated by the local members as they update their job function listing on the back of the annual member renewal invoices. These reports provide a detailed look at Members’ Job Function versus their Interests AND Members’ Job Function versus Processes. This helps the Executive Committee to focus on the technical needs and interests of the membership. This is vital information for developing an audience-specific technical program. Both forms are available in the
Officers Tools/Chapter Documents Archive on the website. Please keep in mind these documents are available to officers only and require site login to access.
