UConn student members show how it’s done
This week in “Member’s Voice,” ASM President Dr. Dianne Chong describes how some of our Material Advantage members have created a new forum that’s of, by, and for the student members of ASM and our co-sponsoring societies.
This is truly an achievement to celebrate! The University of Connecticut Material Advantage Chapter (UCMA) hosted the first Northeast Regional Material Advantage Conference in February on the Storrs campus.
“Our goal was to provide an opportunity to exchange knowledge and experiences, meet each other in a more relaxed setting than a national conference, and encourage high school students to take an interest in science and technology,” said Julie Mackey, UCMA Vice Chair.
