HTS R&D Committee Calls Attention to Learning Opportunities in DOE ITP Training Sessions
In today’s industrial environment, plants are expected to operate at optimal efficiency with increased reliability. Staying current with technological advances and increasingly more powerful tools can help you achieve this goal. Keep pace with these improvements by taking part in the U.S. Department of Energy’s (DOE) Industrial Technologies Program (ITP) training sessions.
DOE’s one-day End User Workshop “Improving Thermal Efficiency in Process Heating Equipment” introduces standard process heating equipment, and provides practical tips on:
• Process heating equipment maintenance
• How to improve furnace energy efficiency and reduce emissions
• How to use DOE’s Process Heating Assessment and Survey Tool (PHAST) software
PHAST software surveys furnaces and heaters, identifies major energy-using equipment, prioritizes improvement opportunities, and assesses available methods to improve thermal efficiency in industrial plants. In addition to Improving Thermal Efficiency in Process Heating Equipment, DOE offers training sessions designed for Compressed Air, Steam, Pumping, Fans, and Motor Systems. For more information on hosting or attending a DOE ITP training session, contact doeitptraining@ppc.com
