Three Deadlines Looming

At the time you receive this, three deadlines will be on top of you, which will require rather fast action if they apply:

  • Nominations for the ASM Heat Treating Society Board.
  • Nominations for the George H. Bodeen Heat Treating Achievement Award (to recognize significant individual achievements in the heat treating industry).
  • Submitting an abstract for consideration to present a paper at the ASM Heat Treating Society Conference and Exposition.

Why are these important? The Society needs to have able leaders on its Board to continue moving forward in serving its members. It also is a worthy activity to recognize those who have done much to advance the industry. And there is considerable prestige in presenting results of your work at the preeminent heat treating conference in North America and contributing to raising the bar of understanding in heat treating technology. So take a moment and determine if you need to take action on any of these requests. (See below for deadlines.)
