Fracture, Fatigue and Corrosion for Medical Device Engineers

Learn how knowledge of mechanics, stress analysis, materials science, corrosion, and electrochemistry are used in the design of robust medical devices. Several case studies with specific device design and validation approaches will be given. In addition, the course will provide information regarding FDA submissions with respect to stress analysis, fatigue, in vivo corrosion and root-cause failure analysis investigations on implantable medical devices.
