DomesDay 2017: Can These Domes Take The Weight?

Eleven teams will be competiting this year to see who can build the best geodesic dome across various criteria. Teams will be judged in dome aesthetics, mechanical strength (through compression testing), a presentation, and a poster. First place will receive $1,000! The competition will take place on the show floor in Pittsburgh, PA at MS&T on October 10, 2017 at booth 343.

Established in 2014 by the ASM Student Board Members, DomesDay is intended to familiarize Material Advantage students with a piece of ASM culture, the Dome, by involving them in a design and materials selection competition.
