You will leave with a practical understanding of vacuum technology as related to heat treating and it is a follow up to courses which cover the fundamental metallurgy of what happens when metals are heated and cooled. This course will include hands on instruction utilizing the ASM Laboratory Vacuum Furnace and include examples of real world heat treating cycles.
