Plan to Attend Special IMS Symposium at MS&T17
In celebration of the 50th anniversary of ASM's International Metallographic Society (IMS), a special full-day symposium celebrating Fifty Years of Metallography and Materials Characterization is planned for the 2017 Materials Science and Technology (MS&T) conference, to be held October 8-12 in Pittsburgh. The symposium will honor past recipients of the Henry Clifton Sorby Award, IMS Buehler Technical Paper of Merit Award, and Jacquet-Lucas Award.
The deadline for submitting symposium abstracts has passed. Registration is now open.

International Metallographic Contest
Entry Deadline: September 26, 2017
The 2017 International Metallographic Contest (IMC) will draw the interest of metallographers around the world, as they compete for the prestigious ASM-IMS Jacquet Lucas Award of $3,000. The award is endowed by Buehler Ltd. Submit your images to the contest to be held in Pittsburgh, PA, during the 50th Annual IMS Meeting during the Materials Science & Technology (MS&T) conference and exposition, October 9-12, 2017.
