NASA’s InSight spacecraft lands on Mars
NASA’s InSight spacecraft launched May 5 on an Atlas rocket and landed safely on Mars November 26 after traveling about 300 million miles. InSight stands for “Interior Exploration using Seismic Investigations, Geodesy, and Heat Transport.” It is the first mission whose goal is to study the deep interior of Mars.
