TMC – The Future of Metallurgy

The Metals Company (TMC) is launching a processing pilot campaign to convert seafloor nodules into an alloy that contains metals critical in the production of batteries. Their custom process starts with polymetallic nodules and ends with battery-grade metals, such as nickel, sulfate, cobalt sulfate, and copper. Their goal is to have a metallurgical processing plant that produces battery metals for clean-energy storage with near zero solid waste.
