Save the date: Microgravity materials science workshop

NASA’s microgravity materials science program supports materials research conducted on the International Space Station (ISS). The orbital conditions on the ISS provide an environment where gravity-driven phenomena such as buoyancy-driven fluid flows and sedimentation are nearly negligible. NASA is planning to hold a workshop on its microgravity materials science program on January 7-8 in the Washington, D.C. area. Workshop participants will advise NASA on future research directions for the microgravity materials science program. In order for NASA to meet the expectations of the workshop participants, please respond to the NASA Request for Information (RFI) for this workshop. The full RFI and submission instructions are available.

The NASA materialsLAB Workshop will be held on January 7-8, 2014, at the Hilton Crystal City Hotel located at 2399 Jefferson Davis Hwy. in Arlington, Va., located near the Crystal City metro station on the Blue and Yellow lines. Please register early in advance for this event online to ensure adequate facility and accommodation. Enter your full name and affiliation as you would like for it to appear on your name badge for the event.
