General Motors India awards Quaker Houghton Fluidcare team

Quaker Houghton’s Fluidcare team based at the General Motors (GM) plant in Talegaon, Maharashtra, India, was acknowledged and awarded commendation letters for the excellent efforts in ensuring a smooth workflow during the COVID pandemic.  

Led by Sameer Mahabaleshwarker, the team of Netajee Jawale, Site Engineer, Mandar Alate, Chemist, Pradeep Salve, and others quickly adapted to change in the responsibilities per the customer requirements and government directives.  

Gulshan Kumar Sachdev, the managing director at the India plant, said, “They have gone the extra mile to make sure that GM had uninterrupted support by taking additional responsibilities on top of their regular roles. In this tough situation, they ensured coolant changeover and filtration, guaranteeing the smooth running of the machines and continuous production. 

The GM Talegaon plant manufactures cars for the export market and has a capacity of 1,600,000 units annually.
