The U.S. Department of Energy Office of Environmental Management and contractor Washington River Protection Solutions, Richland, Wash., recently demonstrated a potential new approach to refurbish double-shell tanks at the Hanford Site – a cold spray technology for creating metal patches outside the simulated large waste tank at Hanford’s Cold Test Facility.
