CAN-ENG Furnaces International Ltd, Canada, has recently been awarded two contracts from one of the world’s largest producers of high volume, specialty automotive fasteners. The two systems being supplied represent CAN-ENG’s high-capacity line of Mesh Belt Fastener Heat Treatment Systems.

Tiangong International, China, has acquired Quintus Technologies Hot Isostatic Press (HIP) marking the culmination of its powder metallurgy (PM) manufacturing program launched three years ago. The second-largest producer of tool and die steel in the world, Tiangong is expanding capacity and boosting productivity with the QIH 232 M URC press.

Constellium, Paris will sponsor ten new skilled trades scholarships at West Virginia University, Parkersburg. Now in its second year, the program provides financial assistance to selected high school graduates to help them earn an associate degree in Multi-Craft Technology or Reliability and Maintenance Technology.
