These publications and events cover current engineering practices and scientific research in the development, manufacturing, testing, modeling, and application of engineered materials.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span><span>ASM\u2019s migration to the Silverchair Platform will create an integrated ASM Digital Library that offers flexible, modular access across content types, facilitated by advanced search, navigation, and linking features. On the new ASM Digital Library, users will be able to seamlessly move between content sets and discover the full value of ASM\u2019s offerings, comprising&nbsp;more than 300,000 content items (articles, chapters, data sheets) that will migrate to the Silverchair Platform.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span><span>\u201cBy partnering with Silverchair, ASM will be on the technology platform that is fully aligned with ASM\u2019s aims for content unification, modern user experience, improved discoverability, collection and product flexibility, cost efficiency, and robust use of taxonomy,\u201d said Thane Kerner, Silverchair CEO. \u201cThe ASM Digital Library will be enhanced by Silverchair\u2019s existing state-of-the-art functionality and flexible user interfaces.\u201d<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span><span>\u201cWe are excited to see the ASM Digital Library hosted on the Silverchair Platform, which is unparalleled in the market in its support for the many content types that ASM delivers,\u201d said Bill Mahoney, CEO of ASM. \u201cIn seeking a long-term strategic platform provider, Silverchair\u2019s reputation for excellent client service stood out among their competitors, and their clear vision for the digital future of research and technical content is in sync with ASM\u2019s own goals for future development.\u201d<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span><span>The ASM Digital Library will launch in late 2018 with ASM Handbook content.
