{"id":11759,"date":"2018-04-16T07:28:13","date_gmt":"2018-04-16T07:28:13","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/staging.asminternational.org\/hts-new\/lucifer-furnaces-builds-dual-chamber-heat-treating-furnace-for-punch-and-die-maker\/"},"modified":"2023-02-23T22:48:23","modified_gmt":"2023-02-23T22:48:23","slug":"lucifer-furnaces-builds-dual-chamber-heat-treating-furnace-for-punch-and-die-maker","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.asminternational.org\/hts\/lucifer-furnaces-builds-dual-chamber-heat-treating-furnace-for-punch-and-die-maker\/","title":{"rendered":"Lucifer Furnaces builds dual chamber heat treating furnace for punch and die maker"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><span><span>Lucifer Furnaces, Warrington, Pa., has delivered a dual chamber fiber-lined furnace to a leading manufacturer of punches and dies in North America.&nbsp; The upper chamber of this customized Model LI84-M24 heats to 2200\u00b0F and the lower draw chamber heats to 1600\u00b0F with 23 kW power. <\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span><span>The upper chamber hotface consists of low-heat-storage ceramic fiberboard for fast heat-up and cool-down.&nbsp; Heat radiates from coil-wound heating elements mounted on ceramic rods, which are completely external to the insulation and can be easily accessed for individual replacement. The lower draw chamber is insulated with 2.5 inches of insulating firebrick.&nbsp; Both chambers are further insulated with cold-face backup insulation.&nbsp; <\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span><span>The LI-8000 series lower draw chamber is equipped with a fan assembly and stainless-steel liner for recirculation and uniform temperature.
