{"id":11794,"date":"2022-08-12T11:31:44","date_gmt":"2022-08-12T11:31:44","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/staging.asminternational.org\/hts-new\/magnetic-shields-ltd-orders-third-solar-manufacturing-vacuum-furnace\/"},"modified":"2024-04-10T17:06:58","modified_gmt":"2024-04-10T17:06:58","slug":"magnetic-shields-ltd-orders-third-solar-manufacturing-vacuum-furnace","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.asminternational.org\/hts\/magnetic-shields-ltd-orders-third-solar-manufacturing-vacuum-furnace\/","title":{"rendered":"Magnetic Shields Ltd orders third Solar Manufacturing vacuum furnace"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Solar Manufacturing, Sellersville, Pa., has been selected to supply a Mentor Pro vacuum furnace to MSL Heat Treatment, a subsidiary of Magnetic Shields Limited (MSL), Kent, U.K. The new Mentor Pro vacuum furnace (HFL-3036-2IQ) will be manufactured in accordance with CE standards including the vacuum chamber being built to ASME\/UKCA requirements.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>This furnace has a working hot zone area of 18\u201d wide x 18\u201d high x 36\u201d deep (457mm x 457mm x 914mm) with a weight capacity of 1,000 pounds (455 kgs). Operating at a vacuum level of 10-5 Torr, this new furnace will be able to reach temperatures up to 2400\u00b0F (1315\u00b0C). It will feature a three gas partial pressure system and an internal quench system designed for 2-bar (15 PSIG) positive pressure quenching.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Rick Jones, VP of international sales at Solar Manufacturing states, \u201cSolar Manufacturing is pleased to continue working with MSL as a supplier for their thermal processing needs.
