Primary focus is on 3xxx series alloys, and this facility produces 1xxx, 7xxx, and 8xxx series alloys as well. Other JW facilities are located in St. Louis, Missouri; Russellville, Arkansas; and Williamsport, Pennsylvania.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>\u201cThe outcome of this endeavor will empower us to produce superior product for our customers, to provide increased value to our stakeholders, and to become a preferred supplier and employer for decades to come,\u201d says Lee McCarter, Chief Executive Officer.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span><span>Hazelett Corp., Colchester, Vt., announces that the Hazelett Twin-Belt Continuous Casting Process will be utilized for the JW Aluminum expansion.&nbsp;The Hazelett Model AS2000 casting machine being supplied is capable of producing 2000 mm wide strip at approximately 50 metric tons per hour. Alloy capabilities include 1XXX, 3XXX, 5XXX, and 6XXX series. <\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span><span>\u201cThis new facility will be a model for the most cost-effective and energy-efficient sheet production in North America,\u201d says David Hazelett, President. \u201cAnd, it will significantly ease the projected shortage of aluminum coil in the United States.&nbsp;<\/span><\/span><span><span>JW Aluminum\u2019s commitment to building the world\u2019s best casting and rolling facility has been reflected in their intensive planning efforts.
