{"id":8035,"date":"2018-11-17T15:07:40","date_gmt":"2018-11-17T15:07:40","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/staging.asminternational.org\/hts-new\/results\/-\/journal_content\/56\/10192\/35815970\/NEWS\/"},"modified":"2023-02-07T04:48:02","modified_gmt":"2023-02-07T04:48:02","slug":"instron-expands-calibration-laboratory-services-to-north-america-europe-and-asia","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.asminternational.org\/hts\/instron-expands-calibration-laboratory-services-to-north-america-europe-and-asia\/","title":{"rendered":"Instron expands Calibration Laboratory services to North America, Europe, and Asia"},"content":{"rendered":"<p style=\"margin-bottom:.0001pt\"><span style=\"line-height:normal\"><span style=\"font-size:12.0pt\">Instron, Norwood, Mass., announces that its Calibration Laboratory has expanded its global reach to include <\/span><span style=\"font-size:12.0pt\"><span style=\"color:black\">providing accredited calibration <\/span><\/span><span style=\"font-size:12.0pt\">services to its customers in North America, Europe, and Asia under a single National Voluntary Laboratory Accreditation Program (NVLAP). <\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"margin-bottom:.0001pt\">&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p style=\"margin-bottom:.0001pt\"><span style=\"line-height:normal\"><span style=\"font-size:12.0pt\">Instron&#8217;s Calibration laboratory is accredited to ISO\/IEC 17025 for the calibration of Force, Angularity, Length, Electromagnetics, Time &amp; Frequency, Hardness, Temperature, and Pressure by NVLAP, a program administered by the National Institute of Standards and Technology.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"margin-bottom:.0001pt\">&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p style=\"margin-bottom:.0001pt\"><span style=\"line-height:normal\"><span style=\"font-size:12.0pt\">\u201cOne of the main advantages is that the calibration services for our multi-national customers will all fall under the same accreditation, simplifying internal processes associated with the validation of quality systems and much more,\u201d says Jim Ritchey of Instron Service. <\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"margin-bottom:.0001pt\">&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p style=\"margin-bottom:.0001pt\"><span style=\"line-height:normal\"><span style=\"font-size:12.0pt\">The NVLAP coverage includes both in-house calibration services and field calibration services. The biggest change to Instron\u2019s coverage is that the company\u2019s Limited Calibration Laboratory in the United Kingdom is now part of the Instron Calibration Laboratory in Norwood, covered under the NVLAP certificate.
