{"id":8439,"date":"2019-02-22T11:23:52","date_gmt":"2019-02-22T11:23:52","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/staging.asminternational.org\/hts-new\/results\/-\/journal_content\/56\/10192\/36589057\/NEWS\/"},"modified":"2023-02-07T04:48:50","modified_gmt":"2023-02-07T04:48:50","slug":"wisconsin-oven-ships-solution-treat-system-to-a-supplier-of-the-aerospace-industry","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.asminternational.org\/hts\/wisconsin-oven-ships-solution-treat-system-to-a-supplier-of-the-aerospace-industry\/","title":{"rendered":"Wisconsin Oven ships solution treat system to a supplier of the aerospace industry"},"content":{"rendered":"<p style=\"margin-bottom:.0001pt\"><span style=\"line-height:normal\"><span style=\"font-size:12.0pt\">Wisconsin Oven Corp., East Troy, has shipped an electrically heated horizontal quench solution treat system to a supplier of the aerospace industry for treating a mixture of aluminum and steel.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"margin-bottom:.0001pt\">&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p style=\"margin-bottom:.0001pt\"><span style=\"line-height:normal\"><span style=\"font-size:12.0pt\">The horizontal quench solution treat system has a maximum oven operating temperature of 1200\u00b0F and work zone dimensions of 5 ft. 4 in. wide x 5 ft. 6 in. long x 5 ft 4 in. high (above the rollers). <\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"margin-bottom:.0001pt\">&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p style=\"margin-bottom:.0001pt\"><span style=\"line-height:normal\"><span style=\"font-size:12.0pt\">Guaranteed temperature uniformity of \u00b15\u00b0F at set points of 250\u00b0F and 550\u00b0F and \u00b110\u00b0F at set points of 980\u00b0F and 1100\u00b0F was documented with a nine point temperature uniformity survey in an empty oven chamber under static operating conditions in accordance with AMS 2750E.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"margin-bottom:.0001pt\">&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p style=\"margin-bottom:.0001pt\"><span style=\"line-height:normal\"><span style=\"font-size:12.0pt\">This horizontal quench system was designed to heat a 565-pound gross load, consisting of a mixture of aluminum and steel, to 1000\u00b0F operating temperature, provide a soak at temperature, and then quickly move the load into a quench tank. A powered pusher\/extractor is used to load and unload the oven. <\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"margin-bottom:.0001pt\">&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p style=\"margin-bottom:.0001pt\"><span style=\"line-height:normal\"><span style=\"font-size:12.0pt\">A pneumatically operated lift system lowers and raises the load for quenching.
