AM&P is ASM international’s flagship technical publication, reaching more than 23,000 readers each month. Every issue features articles on one or more of the industries important to the ASM membership, including Aerospace, Automotive, Chemical Process, Heavy Equipment, Defense, Sports, and Medical. Process technologies relevant to these industries are also an important area of coverage, including Heat Treating, Powder Metallurgy, Casting, Welding, Microscopy, Metallography, Failure Analysis, Mechanical Testing, and Nondestructive Testing. Famous for its extensive news section, every issue contains more than 40 news items and more than 50 News Briefs. They are divided into sections called Metals/Polymers/Ceramics, Testing/Characterization, Process Technology, Emerging Technologies, Business Trends, and the Global Economy. n addition, ASM News is included in every issue. This widely read section provides information about events sponsored by ASM chapters around the world, accomplishments of individual members, news about upcoming ASM conferences, publication of new books and electronic products, and elections of ASM officers.
