    Deposition of Amorphous Aluminium Powder Using Cold Spray

    Deposition of amorphous aluminium powder using cold spray technology as a corrosion prevention measure was studied. Amorphous aluminium (Al-Ni-Ce) powder was successfully deposited on 7000-series aluminium substrates using cold spray parameters of 1.7 MPa under compressed air and temperature of 450oC.

    Different post treatment methods such as heat treatment, mechanical processing, sealing, etc. are known to be capable to improve microstructure and exploitation properties of thermal spray coatings. In this work a plasma electrolytic oxidation of aluminium coatings obtained by arc spraying on aluminium and carbon steel substrates is carried out.
