Bose Electroforce electrodynamic test system features nanometer resolution

Bose ElectroForce, Eden Prairie, Minn., introduces two high-accuracy test systems:  the ElectroForce 3200 Series III and the ElectroForce 3330 Series II test instruments.  They achieve the highest measured displacement resolution and accuracy for electrodynamic test systems.  With measurement resolution of a nanometer and accuracies in the range of microns, these systems extend the range of testing, providing an order of magnitude improvement in displacement measurement at low amplitudes.

Low-amplitude testing accuracy is a growing need for research and product development engineers to design better materials and products for applications such as microelectronics, low-amplitude material fatigue characterization, small bone or tissue measurements, and dynamic mechanical analysis (DMA) of elastomers.

The multi-specimen fatigue test systems are designed to provide tension-tension, or compression-compression displacement controlled loading for small soft structures and devices, such as stents, stent structures, stented grafts, vena cava filters, septal patch structures or other similar devices. They feature multi-specimen loading sites, high-resolution and high-accuracy displacement measurement, and a temperature-controlled saline bath.
