Shiloh Industries Inc., Valley City, Ohio, announces the opening of its aluminum die casting plant in Montgomery County, Tennessee. The brownfield site was acquired by Shiloh in August of 2013. Shiloh has initiated renovations, upgrades and the addition of new equipment to the facility and estimates it will invest over $20 million along with adding more than 150 new jobs to support future production needs and customer demands. The investment and new jobs will be made over the course of the next five years.
The plant is approximately 125,000 sq. ft. and one of five Shiloh large tonnage, high-pressure die casting facilities in the U.S.
Since taking over control of the Clarksville plant, Shiloh has been steadily investing in the facility, including upgrades to the quality lab, die cast cells, x-ray systems and employee facilities. Additionally, the plant is expanding its range of 1600-ton die cast machines to include a 2,500-ton machine and overall infrastructure improvements.
