Worcester Polytechnic Institute, Mass., announces that the Center for Heat Treating Excellence (CHTE) and the Advanced Casting Research Center (ACRC) will hold their spring meeting June 2 -3. At CHTE, university researchers work together with industry members to improve heat treating processes. Recent research projects include reducing cycle time, gas furnace efficiency and tempering, energy savings, process control, and induction tempering.
CHTE is part of the Metal Processing Institute at Worcester Polytechnic Institute. It is a leading industry-university alliance dedicated to advancing the field of materials science.
