ASM Alloy Phase Diagram Database sees major update

ASM International, Materials Park, Ohio, announced an important update to the ASM Alloy Phase Diagram Database. Over 1100 new phase diagrams have been added, making the total 40,300 binary and ternary alloy phase diagrams from over 9000 systems with associated crystal and reaction data. The software system has also been updated to provide users a faster, more intuitive interface with new tools and features.

Highlights from the release include 895 new ternary diagrams, including 185 ternary systems new to the database. Also added were 205 binary diagrams including 12 new binary systems. Aluminum (230), copper (87), magnesium (86), and titanium (71) phase diagrams were also added.

The ASM Alloy Phase Diagram Database is the definitive web-based source for binary and ternary alloy phase diagrams, including inorganic systems. Fully searchable, the APD Center places the full breadth and scope of available data on binary and ternary phase diagrams right on your desktop to assist with troubleshooting, manufacturing control, and the development of new materials.
