Thermal Spray Technologies, Sun Prairie, Wis., has celebrated one million hours with no lost time.. “One million hours with no lost time is a notable accomplishment in an industry with a high potential for injury,” said John Fehl, a member of the Thermal Spray Technologies production team. Generally, manufacturing companies experience workplace injuries every one to two months.
Throughout the past seven years, the diligent work of 55 employees contributed to the one million hours of incident-free production. At Thermal Spray Technologies, the safety and well-being of employees is paramount. Employees participate in annual training sessions and are encouraged to speak up about any safety concerns. The safety precautions and protocols instituted by Thermal Spray Technologies exceed OSHA requirements and help ensure safe working conditions for employees.
On July 25, 2013 over 120 employees and their families gathered to celebrate the safety milestone, with a celebration including food and drink, plant tours, and a raffle. “It’s great to see our focus on safety paying off with such an honorable milestone,” reflected Andrew Birkett, an engineer at Thermal Spray Technologies.
