Micrograph Database Gets an Update

An important release to the ASM Micrograph Database was recently completed. The Micrograph Database is a growing collection of more than 4400 micrograph images and associated data, published by ASM International, in cooperation with the International Metallographic Society (IMS). 189 new records of selected micrographs and associated data were implemented from Metallography, Microstructure, and Analysis, the official journal of the International Metallographic Society.

This release features the addition of superalloys; GTD-111 (nickel-base); Stellite (cobalt-base); nonferrous alloys; 6082-T6 aluminum alloy; AZ31 magnesium alloy; Nb-25Cr-15Mo-15Si-15B niobium alloy; Sn-Pb-Sb eutectic tin alloy; carbidic austempered ductile iron (CADI); dissimilar metal weldments; 2014-T6 and 7075-T6 aluminum; and Inconel 718 superalloy and AISI 430 stainless steel.
