EFD Induction wins major order for annealing thread area of constant-velocity joints

EFD Induction, Madison Heights, Mich., announces that a global leader in advanced steering and driveline systems has selected an EFD Induction HardLine system to anneal the thread area of its constant velocity (CV) joints. At the heart of each HardLine machine is an EFD Induction Sinac heat generator, the industry’s most reliable induction frequency converter. These converters help ensure optimum heat treatment results.

“Nothing can be left to chance when annealing a component as important as a CV joint,” says Mark Andrus of EFD Induction USA. “The annealing quality must be consistently high, and the heat treatment solution must deliver exceptional uptime. As we all know, automakers must constantly strive to reduce costs while at the same time maintaining high quality levels. It’s a tough challenge, but it’s one that can be met with our know-how, equipment, and technical service.”

EFD Induction has manufacturing plants, workshops, and service centers in the Americas, Europe, and Asia.
