Title:

Skutterudites and Half-Heusler Alloys: Mechanical and Thermal Properties

Abstract:

This data set consists of thermal, mechanical, and thermoelectric property data associated with skutterudites and half-Heusler alloys. It includes thermal expansion coefficients, thermal and electrical conductivities, and ZT (a figure of merit related to energy conversion efficiency) as well as hardness, elastic moduli, density, and fracture toughness measurements. The property and behavior data were generated or otherwise gathered by G. Rogl, University of Vienna, and colleagues in the course of their research on thermoelectric materials. Between 2009 and 2017, G. Rogl et al published several papers on the thermal, mechanical, and energy conversion properties of these promising new materials and how they can be controlled. These papers are the primary source of the data in this collection.
