1000 mph Supersonic Car: 12 Miles in Two Minutes

The Bloodhound SSC is a supersonic car built in the UK by a team of Formula 1 and aerospace experts. This image shows members of the build team as they load the upper chassis into the giant autoclave at the National Composites Centre. This is a huge pressure cooker that cures the glue that, along with 11,500 aerospace rivets, holds the titanium skin to the aluminum ribs. The video shows the car in action, as well as the high-tech cockpit with a 3D printed titanium steering wheel.
