3D printing of stainless steel parts

This video from How It’s Made shows the process of building stainless steel parts by 3D printing. Three-dimensional metal printers can build parts faster and cheaper than conventional casting or machining. They build objects from successive layers of stainless steel powders that are then fused together at high temperatures.  The process makes it easy to manufacture complex metal shapes of almost any metal.
