United States Steel Shows How Rocks Are Changed into Steel Sheet
This United States Steel video tells the story of how steel begins with a blast as rock explodes and the raw materials are tossed from the earth. The video shows the steps that follow until the rocks containing iron are pulverized and the iron extracted with magnets. Then molten iron is produced, and steel is combined with carbon and other elements until it becomes steel. United States Steel produces up to 250 tons of steel in less than 45 minutes, with over 1500 different steel chemistries.
