This course is best taken in conjunction with Principles of Failure Analysis course.

You will learn a proven systematic approach to failure investigation, which utilizes examples from the aerospace industry. You will learn how to logically progress through a failure investigation utilizing a few simpole tools and following some simple steps.

The course will discuss the types of root casues: physical, human and latent (cultural/organization). It will show you how to apply logic and critical thinking to a failure investigation in order to get the most technical bang out of your budget and schedule. It will provide a learning platform for engineers from all disciplines; materials, design, manufacturing, quality and management.
