The UConn Material Advantage Chapter is a student run organization at UConn that focuses on outreach and professional development of its members. Every year we travel to a number of K-12 schools to inspire students about STEM and Materials Science and Engineering. We bring a number of exciting demos including a space shuttle tile, as well as superconductors that we make in our labs at UConn. For professional development, we host resume critique sessions, mock interviews, and represent UConn at the Material Science and Technology Conference each year.

This year we are hosting a fundraising banquet, "Forging the Bonds of the Future," to support the growth of our chapter. We plan to use the funds to buy a number of new and exciting demos, as well as provide financial support to enable more students to attend conferences and gain exposure to future professional opportunities.

We hope that you will support us by attending this year's banquet onThursday, April 7 at UCONN HILLEL. 54 N Eagleville RD, Storrs, CT 06268. Cocktail hour will begin at 5:30 pm with a cash bar and light refreshments, followed by a catered dinner, guest speakers, and a number of exciting surprises in between. The cost for  industry professionals is $35. Tickets can be purchased at the door, but please fill out the form in the link below to RSVP by Monday, April 4 at 5pm. If you prefer to pay in advance, please make checks payable to "ASM/TMS Student Chapter" and send them to Material Advantage, at 97 North Eagleville Road, Storrs CT 06269.

Any donations are also greatly appreciated.
