"This is Heat Treat": Free Student Registration 


Are you a current college student studying materials science and engineering? If so, your registration for the 28th ASM Heat Treating Society Conference and Exposition is FREE! College students can attend the event free of charge through the new THIS IS HEAT TREAT program that includes a special student reception and opportunities to connect directly with companies that you want to work for by spending one-on-one time with them in their booths. 

Take advantage of this unique opportunity to network with professionals in the industry, learn about all aspects of the field through technical programs, and get to know the company you could work for one day. Get a taste of your future within the heat treating industry for free by registering as a student and bringing your Student ID with you to the show.


HTS Student Poster Competition 
You are invited to submit an abstract to the undergraduate and graduate student poster presentations and competitions! Prizes will be awarded in several categories to both undergraduate and graduate students. 
ABSTRACT DEADLINE Extended: September 15, 2017 October 18, 2017

In order to be eligible for the student poster competition, the project should have been performed while an active BS, MS or PhD student and the poster presented within 1 year of graduation.

First Place: $1,000 cash prize

Second Place: $700 cash prize

Third Place: $300 cash prize

Join in this relaxed, casual, and fun atmosphere designed for students, young professionals, Faculty Advisers, and society volunteer leaders. Students are encouraged to wear their school colors. Food and beverages will be provided.

One-on-One Demos in Exhibitor Booths
Gain knowledge and insight directly from the major players in the Heat Treat world by signing up to shadow with them in their booth! See workshops, live demos, and learn about the companies firsthand from the people that work there. Go here to select from the list of exhibiting companies that you would like to learn more about, and we will give you a date and time to meet with them on the floor. See where your future could go and network with the people that can get you!





Are you interested in assisting as a Room Monitor during the event?  If so, you would participate in the conference by monitoring attendance and assisting as needed in the meeting space to ensure a successful event.  Daily compensation provided.  Space is limited and on a first come, first serve basis.  Email Lindy Good for more information regarding this opportunity.
