Heat Treat Mexico 2018:
Advanced Thermal Processing Technology Conference and Expo
The ASM Heat Treating Society presents Heat Treat Mexico 2018 scheduled for September 25-28, 2018 at the Fiesta Americana in Queretaro, Mexico. The conference will attract Maintenance Supervisors, Metallurgists and Production Engineering Staff and will provide a bridge for relevant new technology for thermal processing and how it is applied to the production environment in Mexico.
For one low price, conference attendees will have access to the following educational opportunities during the conference:
"Metallurgy for the Non-Metallurgist”—This one-day course kicks off the conference on Tuesday, September 25, 2018. Professor Rafael Colas will cover mechanical testing and their measurement, the application and metallurgy of steel and cast irons, heat treating and case hardening of steels, nonferrous metals, and much more!
“Heat Treatment of Automotive AI Casting”—During this 2-hour course, Professor Alejandro Garcia will cover the metallurgical fundamentals related to heat treatments of aluminum cast alloys applied to automotive components, for the three most common foundry processes: sand mold (SC), gravity permanent mold (PM), and high pressure die casting (HPDC).
2 ½ Day Technical Program—More than 25 technical presentations will be offered on the topics of Carburizing, Heat Treatment of Aluminum, Induction Heat Treating, Pyrometry, Quenching for Hardening, Vacuum Carburizing, and more. Each topic will be covered from three perspectives: the process, the meaning to metallurgy, and the application.
In addition to the technical programming, attendees will have the opportunity to interact and network with more than 45 companies showcasing their products and services.
