2018 Proposed Technical Focus

Young Professionals Session

ITSC 2018 will again offer the young innovative scientists/professionals competition-based award and recognition program, seeking to encourage participation of young scientists in ITSC, and to provide attractive offers and opportunities in the worldwide thermal spray community. At the present time, we will consider abstract submissions based on the topics identified within the three symposia areas proposed for 2018.

Submit to the Young Professionals Session!

Deadline: Sunday, March 11th, 2018

Eligibility: Students' who will enter into their graduate year of University, having completed an aspect of thermal spray research. Submission of completed abstract must be presented by presenting author onsite in Orlando, Florida USA.

Review: The submitted abstracts will be evaluated by an international team of thermal spray professionals from both academia and industry. If abstract is selected, finalist will present at ITSC where each presentation will be evaluated and scored for originality, experimental and research results and presentation style.

Submission: Students will follow guidelines for ITSC technical program submission.

Finalist: All finalists will be required to present onsite in Orlando, FL.  Presentations will be five minutes in length and consist of five slides.  The winner of the completion will be announced at the end of the session and will receive a cash award.

The ITSC Organizing Committee strives to maintain the quality and integrity of the conference through the careful selection of its participants.  Please seriously consider your ability to prepare a full manuscript and present your work at the conference BEFORE submitting your abstract.  All costs associated with your participation are your responsibility (travel, housing, registration, etc.) In addition all speakers will be required to register for their conference attendance no later than the Early Bird registration deadline.

Whether you are an expert, an experienced engineer or scientist or new to the thermal spray field, the 2018 ITSC technical program will feature the latest in advanced technology, research and development and a wealth of resources where you can learn about processes that can be applied immediately to impact critical factors such as corrosion, wear, tear and abrasion.
