Dr. Louis St. Laurent is a Senior Scientist in Physical Oceanography at the Woods Hole Oceanographic Institution (WHOI). His research interests include turbulent processes of the ocean, and the use of autonomy to acquire measurements in areas inaccessible to conventional measurement methodologies. His presentation will be on "Ocean Sensing for Science, Defense and Commerce Using Robotic Systems" at the Village Haven Restaurant in north Smithfield. Networking begins at 5:30, Dinner at 6:30 and talk to follow. Members $25, Guests $30 and students and retirees $15.
