Paulo to expand Cleveland vacuum heat treating facility to over 200,000 square feet

Paulo Heat Treating, Brazing, and Metal Finishing, St. Louis, announces a two-phase expansion project that will add 50,000 square feet to its Cleveland Division in Willoughby, Ohio. Phase one, 30,000 square feet, will be completed in the Fall of 2018 and will connect to the existing structure. Once the expansion is completed, total floor space will be over 200,000 square feet.

The Cleveland plant has over 100 employees and is the largest commercial vacuum heat treat facility in the United States. The expansion will allow for the installation of more vacuum heat treatment furnaces and will enable optimized flow of work through the facility. The Cleveland plant primarily serves the aerospace, power generation, and agriculture industries and specializes in precise high temperature vacuum heat treatment and brazing of nickel-base superalloys.

“This expansion continues the tradition of growth in Cleveland over the past 30 years,”says Phil Harris, Marketing Manager. “This additional capacity will allow us to support our customers’ success into the future while adding new work to the mix.”

Founded in 1943, Paulo is one of the largest providers of heat treating, brazing, and metal finishing solutions in North America. Headquartered in St. Louis, Paulo operates six divisions servicing the Midwest, Great Lakes, and Southeast regions of the United States and northern Mexico.
