ASM has been the leader of curating and disseminating materials information for over 100 years. Bringing together world-renowned materials scientists and engineers to help distribute their research to the masses. We are now expanding these relationships to focus on data and will also be taking ASM legacy textual information and transforming it into numerical data that will be available in the data repository for the betterment of the scientific community.

The data repository will grow over time, with an evolving data structure that enables intelligent connection of materials data from large platforms and project specific datasets, all from world-renowned materials scientists and engineers. The expansion of our data product offerings amplifies the ASM value proposition. ASM is augmenting the data platform with both engineering scale and research scale materials data platforms, as well as a selection of focused datasets for your specialized materials data needs.

Data Platforms

ASM Global Materials Platform is the result of a collaboration between ASM and Key to Metals around their Total Materia database product. ASM Global Materials Platform has more than 20 million property records for over 450,000 metallic and non-metallic materials presented in 26 languages.

ASM Global Materials Platform eXporter module is the add on module of ASM Global Materials Platform which primarily helps bridge the gap between data source and computer aided engineering (CAE) software. Whether you want to move data from Total Materia directly to CAE software or simply export in excel or .xml, eXporter provides all the functionality you need. In a form of a simple 3-step wizard, it provides multiple-format data exports in mere seconds.
