5th EPRI Supply Chain Workshop for Structural Components in Advanced Energy Systems 

Started in 2022, EPRI’s Supply‑Chain Workshop for Structural Components in Advanced Energy Systems has brought together the entire component supply chain for new nuclear, advanced power cycles, fusion devices, and other advanced energy systems including material suppliers, fabrication shops, technology developers, large and small manufactures, and end users to collaboratively find ways to address supply chain challenges including: limited qualified vendors, quality, long lead times, aging workforces, slow innovation, and fragmented codes and standards to enable more rapid adoption of new technologies and reduce risk for new builds. To overcome these barriers, the community is moving toward standards-based qualifications, supply‑chain diversification, collaborative ecosystems, and strategic alignment to ensure that the needs of all stakeholders are met.

This 5th workshop will build off prior workshops (3002025254, 3002027773, 3002029870) with rapid presentations, panels of industry leaders, and strategic collaboration discussions.

Nuclear WRTC TAC Meeting 

The EPRI Welding & Repair Technology Center’s (WRTC) Technical Advisory Committee (TAC) meeting is a bi-annual meeting to discuss the Research Focus Areas associated with repair, replacement, Code and Regulatory issues, fabrication, and material degradation in the nuclear industry. The meeting is an opportunity to share operating experience, benchmarking, and lessons learned with industry peers and subject-matter experts while being updated on the latest research within WRTC.
