This year again, key thermal spray leaders were introduced to the TSS Hall of Fame to recognize their exceptional contributions to the science, technology, practice, education, management, and advancement of thermal spraying. The recipients of this most prestigious award are selected by the Hall of Fame Selection Committee, and nominations are approved by the TSS Board. The new Hall of Fame inductees were recognized in a special awards session at ITSC 2016 in Shanghai.

MB Aerospace, East Granby, Conn., has acquired Vac Aero (Poland) from its Canadian parent company, Vac Aero International, for its extensive range of special process capabilities, including heat treatment and vacuum brazing, vacuum carburizing, air plasma spray (APS), and high-velocity oxygen fuel (HVOF) thermal spray coatings, as well as corrosion and oxidation-resistant paint coatings.
