ASM International Introduces HTPro Insert for AM&P Magazine

ASM International (ASM), the world’s leading resource for materials information, today announced the development of HTPro, a new quarterly insert for its Advanced Materials & Processes (AM&P) magazine. HTPro is the new official voice of ASM’s Heat Treating Society (HTS) and will provide reliable, up-to-date heat treating and thermal processing technical information.

Each issue of HTPro will contain industry news from the international stage, technological breakthroughs, HTS news and activities, product and equipment features and company profiles, communicating information in a print format, on the ASM website and through its digital edition.

”Based on the popularity of the HTPro e-newsletter (HTPro eNews), we created the HTPro insert to provide another way for the heat treating community to get the industry news and technical information they want and need,” said Frances Richards, senior editor of Advanced Materials & Processes, ASM International.

“HTPro eNews is a prime vehicle for delivering our message to the right audience,” said Robert J. Madeira, vice president of Heat Treating, Inductoheat Inc. “We’re happy that the content will now be in print and know it will have the same powerful impact. Additionally, since it will be paired with Advanced Materials & Processes magazine, we will now reach the larger ASM audience of more than 19,000 members who receive AM&P each month.”

“As a professional society, HTS is responsible for communicating key information and updates to its members,” added Tom Clements, ASM’s Heat Treating Society President. “HTS also provides a valuable network for heat treating businesses and professionals. This new print insert meets the needs of both groups, while simultaneously enhancing the content in AM&P magazine.”

The inaugural issue, publishing in September 2013, will be delivered to all AM&P subscribers and distributed at Heat Treat 2013, the ASM HTS 27th Conference and Exposition set for September 16-18 in Indianapolis. Subsequent issues will be published in the final quarter of 2013 and four times in 2014.
