Oxford Instruments NanoScience, England, announces it will jointly develop high-precision scanning probe microscope products based on TeslatronPT, the Cryofree superconducting magnet system from Oxford Instruments, in collaboration with CASmF Science and Technology Limited in China.
SPM products form images of surfaces using a physical probe that scans the specimen. The SPM probe, when used with TeslatronPT, can be configured for cutting-edge applications such as 2D materials, nanostructures, superconductivity, and many others.
Preliminary results with a simple scanning tunneling microscope measurement probe housed in the TeslatronPT magnet cryostat platform, have already demonstrated that atomically resolved graphite STM images can be obtained on the standard platform.
According to Dr. Qingyou Lu, president of CASmF, the collaboration is “a significant move toward achieving outstanding business results and efficiencies.”
Dr. Junyun Li, Vice-President Sales and Service Asia Pacific for Oxford Instruments NanoScience commented, "CASmF has deep technical accumulation and development capabilities in the SPM area. I am sure that this collaboration will open a new future for both businesses."
