ATM Advanced Materialography, Germany, announces that the high-quality optical measuring system of its automatic hardness tester Carat 950 has been enhanced by overview optics integrated into the revolver. With the overview camera and preconfigured test programs, Vickers and Knoop hardness testing processes can be planned and executed faster.
The Carat 950 enables the measurement of hardness profiles, and if combined with suitable software add-ons for image analysis, it is also a tool to evaluate structural constituents by light microscopy.
The system includes an integrated joystick with dynamic travel speed control for X-/Y-axis. It includes a fine dynamic scroll wheel for Z-axis and high-speed switching. It has an 8x revolver with up to 6 objectives, as well as Köhler LED illumination.
