Coventor, Cary, N.C., announces that it has won the “Best of West” award presented by Solid State Technology and SEMI a the Semicon West conference July 13. Coventor won for its SEMulator3D, a semiconductor process modeling platform that can predictively model any fabrication process applied to any semiconductor design. Starting from a “virtual” silicon wafer, the product performs a series of unit processes like those in the fab, to create highly accurate 3D computer models of the predicted structures on wafer.
Version 6 further increases the accuracy of the process simulation, geometry, and modeling of advanced semiconductor processes with new features, usability enhancements, and a new add-on capability for electrical analysis. Along with SEMulator3D 6.0, Coventor is releasing an all-new SEMulator3D Electrical Analysis add-on component that allows seamless resistance and capacitance extraction directly from SEMulator3D process-predictive 3D models.
