Wisconsin Oven Corp., East Troy, announces the shipment of an electrically heated standard two zone conveyor oven to a tool and equipment manufacturer. The belt conveyor oven will be used to temper steel parts and has the capability to heat 1,800 pounds of steel from 70 to 425°F within a one hour time period.
The tempering oven has work chamber dimensions of 3x34x1.5 feet, and a maximum operating temperature of 500°F. Guaranteed temperature uniformity of ±10°F at 425°F was documented to meet AMS 2750E, Class 2 furnaces and Instrumentation Type C requirements.
“For this project, heating capability was a top priority. To ensure that the heating performance provided optimal part results we provided product testing per our customer’s load specifications,” says Gene Vetter, Senior Applications Engineer.
This belt conveyor oven was fully factory tested and adjusted prior to shipment. All safety interlocks are checked for proper operation and the equipment is operated at the normal and maximum operating temperatures. An extensive quality assurance checklist was completed to ensure the equipment met all Wisconsin Oven quality standards. This equipment is backed by Wisconsin Oven’s Three-Year WOW warranty (parts only).
